My journey raising chickens

I haven’t raised chickens since I was a kid so I’m using 75% muscle memory and 25% YouTube videos😂 I’m one week in and I must admit, raising chicken is very therapeutic. I have them in my 8×10 shed in a 100 gallon aquarium (brooder) with a heat lamp. Each day I make sure they have fresh food, water, and pine shavings(for bedding). This experience has taking me back to my grandparents farm, where times were much simpler and I’m not going to lie, it made ya boy a little emotional. Although these a dual purpose birds, I’m only going to harvest their eggs and enjoy their personalities. As always I want to thank you guys for following my blog, your support means a lot to me now and moving forward as it grows! Stay tuned for more great content!

Purpose

At an early age my Grandmother told me that I had purpose, I feel her spirit this morning, I love you Grandma!

Your faith

When your faith comes under pressure, don’t be moved. As Satan attempts to challenge you, resist him steadfastly in the faith…letting patience have her perfect work (James 1:4)

Trust God

My trust in God is what keeping me going, without God’s steady hand I wouldn’t be where I am today.

I am whats deemed as an essential worker so I’ve been working throughout these trying times, I hold a leadership position at work and I am responsible for keeping people calm, and those responsibilities also carry on at home as well.

You may ask, who keep you calm? God, that who! I’m so grateful for his mercy and grace. Here is bible verse that encourages me, I hope it does the same for you.

If your gift is to encourage others, do it! If you have money, share it generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. Romans 12:8 NLT
