While raising chickens I’m learning new things everyday. Like, when it starts getting dark the alpha hen sounds off specific chirps to tell the flock it’s time to head in for the night…wow, mind blown!

Let me start by saying that I am not against hunting, but I plan on producing my own food more than hunting. Homesteading works for me because I am a 100 percent homebody, my kids and grandkids get to share in the experience of the mystery of life, that’s a win win!

I encourage everyone to raise chickens. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. Simply watching chickens will lower your stress levels and they provide delicious fresh eggs daily!
